| Welcome
to the Wizarding World RP Community! There’s a lot going
on here, but before you get started please make sure you read all
of the Rules, Posting
Guidelines, FAQs, submit a Joining
Form and then join the Forum.
Once your application has been approved, you will be emailed that
your biography has been added to our listings and you will be informed
what house you have been sorted into. You will not be able to post
until your biography has been accepted. If you have any questions
please don't hesitate to e-mail me at Maharet83@yahoo.com
Overview
Every member starts out as a New Student (Years 1 and 2). You must complete
Raising Requirements in order to advance. There is no maximum
amount of time required for rank, if you want to get your character
to N.E.W.T. level and not advance that’s entirely up to
you. Role playing time and real world time are completely different.
You could still be finishing up an RP from when your character
was a year 1 student, and just starting an RP as a Year 3 student.
Once you reach a rank you cannot go back, unless the RP was started
before you were raised. You also cannot post as a higher rank
than you are until you are officially raised to that rank. I
realize that sometimes it may be odd if you have a class mate
and you are raised before them, because suddenly they are no
longer in your class, being a year below you. Unfortunately it’s
difficult to control such things in an RP environment such as
this, just try and ignore it, and take things on an rp to rp
basis.
This site will also accept fan fiction that is written with
your character in mind. See Fanfic rules for more information.
Fan fiction will be posted for all to read along with your characters
biography, and OWL and NEWT tests when you get to them.
One of the main goals of the Wizarding World RP Community
is to encourage writing skills and character development. This
is why we require a biography submission and you must spend a certain
amount of time in a rank before advancing to the next rank. Working
in such a way allows you time to get to know your character, allow
it to grow, and your writing skills to grow with it. This also
helps prevent people from trying to create invicible characters.
You must keep in mind at all times your characters magical abilities
based on the year of school they are in. A year one student for
example would be unlikely to use something like the cruciatus curse,
or brew a polyjuice potion, or for the most part even know about
such facets of magic. Even if they are from a wizarding family. |
