You will not be able to post at the forum until you recieve e-mail stating that your application is accepted. Also please note that students entering hogwarts are aged 11-12 years old. Do not make your character older, he/she will age as you progress.

Take your time with this form, a good idea would be to type everything out in word first and then paste it into the form. Check for spelling and grammar mistakes. If you have too many mistakes your biography may be rejected, as we try to keep a certain standard of writing here.

If your biography is rejected you will be informed of key areas to improve and are welcome to try again.

Please answer these questions based on how your Character would react to them. Do not simply give short answers, think of them as writing a story or an RP. Although each question is seperate try to make them flow into each other so that they fit together as one story. If you need some examples to help you with how you should proceed please read Silyra Alystae's Sorting Ceremony. You will be sorted based on your biography as well as answers to these questions.

Sorting Ceremony

1. Your character has just received thier Hogwarts letter, what is thier reaction? (Please keep in mind whether your character's family are muggles or wizards)

2. Your character arrived at Diagon Alley to purchase thier school things, what is thier reaction when they get there, and where do they choose to go first?

3. Your character has made it on to Platform 9 and 3/4, are they early or barely on time? How did they get onto the platform (if they're from a wizarding family I’m sure it was no problem, but if they come from a muggle family describe how they figured it out)? What is thier reaction to the Hogwarts Express?

4. You’re on the train and the trolley comes by with all of those lovely sweets, what do you do?

5. Your character has arrived and now it’s time to take the boat trip up to the castle. What is thier reaction to the magically driven boats?

6. Your chracter is at the castle waiting to be taken in to the Great Hall for sorting. How are they feeling? Have they made any friends yet?

7. Your character's name is called and they take a seat. The sorting hat is place on thier head. What is going through thier mind as they sit under the sorting hat? (For example Harry kept thinking not Slytherin, Draco might have been thinking definitely Slytherin, and Ron might have thought when do we eat.) DO NOT end your post with what the hat calls out. If you want to be sure your character is in a specific house just have your character think it, otherwise the sorting hat will sort you based on what you have provided about your character.
