Start writing from the point you’ve entered the classroom. Write how your character is feeling throughout the test what actions they might be taking. If they are nervous are they biting fingernails or scratching a lot of words out?, if you have any actual knowledge of the subject you can throw in tidbits for realism, such as writing your own question and answering it. If you don’t know much about the actual subject you can leave out such specifics and just write about your characters emotions, how they think they did, if they thought they did better on certain questions than others etc. When you come to the practical portion just be creative, it’s ok if you’re not completely accurate based on the books, you are being judged on your writing and creativity, not subject accuracy.

Ancient Runes-You arrive for your test and notice each desk has a bag of runes atop it, along with a test paper and quill. The examiner tells everyone to take a seat and empty their rune bags, and begin. The test has various questions asking for in depth explanations of the meanings of each rune, the types of casts that can be done, and how the runes are grouped. Once the written portion is complete it’s time for the practical. The examiner comes over to you and tells you to do 3 types of casting (pick up random runes and arrange them in certain patterns based on the type of cast) and then tell them what it means.

Arithmancy-You arrive for your test and take a seat. The test paper is face down, and a quill is sitting on top. The examiner signals you to begin. The test is filled with in depth questions about the meanings behind various numbers, character numbers, heart numbers, and social numbers. When the test is over you are relieved because there is no practical portion.

Astronomy-You arrive for your test and take a seat. You wait for the examiners signal and then begin. The test is filled with in depth questions on various planets, stars, and constellations. After the test you are told you have the rest of the day free, and that it would be a good idea to take a nap because the practical exam is at midnight. It’s now midnight and you’ve just arrived atop the north tower for the practical exam. You are handed a star chart and pointed towards a telescope, once everyone has sat down at their telescopes you are told to begin.

Care of Magical Creatures- You arrive for your test and take a seat. You wait for the examiners signal and then begin. The test is filled with in depth questions on various magical creatures, what to feed them, how to handle them, how to train them if they are trainable. Once the written portion is done, the students are called one by one into another room. When it is your turn you arrive and are given a magical creature and told to feed it, and demonstrate how you would go about training it.

Charms-You arrive for your test and take a seat. You wait for the examiners signal and then begin. The test is filled with in depth questions on various charm spells, how they are cast, what they do, and what specific wand movements are required. Once the written portion is done, the students are called one by one into another room. When it is your turn you arrive and are told to demonstrate various complicated charms.

Defense Against the Dark Arts-You arrive for your test and take a seat. You wait for the examiners signal and then begin. The test is filled with in depth questions on Dark items, curses, counter-curses, and dark creatures. Once the written portion is done, the students are called one by one into another room. When it is your turn you arrive and are told to demonstrate various counter-curses, and defenses.

Divination-You arrive for your test and take a seat. You wait for the examiners signal and then begin. The test is filled with in depth questions on reading tea leaves, palms, determining signs, and crystal gazing. Once the written portion is done, the students are called one by one into another room. When it is your turn you arrive and are told to make a prediction for your examiner using a combination of tea leaves, palmistry, and crystal gazing.

Herbology-You arrive for your test and take a seat. You wait for the examiners signal and then begin. The test is filled with in depth questions on various plants, and what they do or are used for. Once the written portion is done, the students are called one by one into another room. When it is your turn you arrive and are told to identify various plants and demonstrate how to plant them and care for them.

History of Magic-You arrive for your test and take a seat. You wait for the examiners signal and then begin. The test is filled with in depth questions on events in history. When the test is over you are very thankful there is no practical portion.

Muggle Studies-You arrive for your test and take a seat. You wait for the examiners signal and then begin. The test is filled with in depth questions on muggles, what they wear, what fascinates them, how things like electricity work and so on. Once the written portion is done, the students are called one by one into another room. When it is your turn you arrive and are told to identify various obscure muggle items.

Potions-You arrive for your test and take a seat. You wait for the examiners signal and then begin. The test is filled with in depth questions on various potions, what they are used for, and their ingredients, what the properties of ingredients are and the importance of the order in which things are done. Once the written portion is over, you are directed to the dungeons to begin the practical exam. You are given the directions for 3 very difficult potions, along with all the necessary ingredients and cauldrons.

Transfiguration-You arrive for your test and take a seat. You wait for the examiners signal and then begin. The test is filled with in depth questions on transfiguration spells, how they are performed and what they should be performed on. Once the written portion is done, the students are called one by one into another room. When it is your turn you arrive and are told to transfigure a cat into a working pocket watch, a dog into a trunk, and a fish into a mirror.

The possible grades are as follows:
O – Outstanding
E – Excellent
A – Acceptable
P – Poor
D – Dreadful
T – Troll

Grades are based on a number of factors including writing quality as well as how the author portrays thier character. For example if you state that your character has left the page entirely blank, you would get T due to the fact that you have made it clear your character did nothing, even though it might have been beautifully written and explained, therefore while a T would be bad in your character's parent's eyes, you should be proud of your T from an Authors perspective. If you mention that your character ended up skipping half the questions, for whatever reason, your grade might be somewhere between P and A depending on the quality of writing, as well as your descriptions of how much really was missed. It's really up to you and how you intend to portray your character as to what grades your character gets. If you are wanting a certain grade for a specific subject you may add an OOC note requesting this and it will be taken into consideration.
